The inaugural episode of United on Trails radio show on KAFM 88.1 was today. I had the opportunity to speak with Amy Agapito from COPMOBA and Libby Collins from the Mesa Land Trust. We got an overview of some of the trail work that COPMOBA has been doing, talked briefly about the dry trail conditions and how they are impacting both trail use and trail building efforts and highlighted some upcoming trail work dates for COPMOBA.
Libby Collins gave us an update about the progress with the Three Sisters Park project and the final fundraising efforts underway. Congratulations to the Mesa Land Trust on closing on the Three Sisters Park property and turning that over to the city as public recreation space. If you would like to help raise the last few dollars for the project, please consider donating at the Three Sisters Park website and know that all donations to the Three Sisters Park in the month of June are being matched by Alpine Bank! That includes margaritas from Dos Hombres where $1 donation is made for every drink sold.
Next month I hope to have guests from the MTRA (Motorcycle Trail Riders Association) and the Western Slope ATV Association so tune in Wednesday, July 11th at noon for the next episode!
