Join Colorado Canyons Association and the Bureau of Land Management for our fall trail monitor training. This training is open to mountain bikers, OHV users, hikers and equestrian riders. In addition to trail monitoring, you’ll learn about the BLM’s new Trail Stewardship Program, a three pronged approach to trail management.
Trail Monitoring
CCA and the BLM have worked together over the last year to put together a trail monitoring program that allows volunteer monitors to hit the trails with a camera and GPS unit (we have one you can borrow!) to help us keep an up-to-date inventory of trail conditions in McInnis Canyons NCA. This spring and summer, we piloted this program in Kodels and Devils Canyon and we’re now ready to begin monitoring Mack Ridge, the Kokopelli Trail and Rabbit Valley. Please contact Rosa Brey at [email protected] or call 970-263-7902 for more information. RSVP to this event is required.
Training Details
The Trail Monitoring Training will be conducted on an evening session on Friday, October 12th and a morning session on Saturday, October 13th. Details provided after RSVPing.
