About

The Grand Valley Trails Alliance is dedicated to helping trail user groups, trail users, trail managers and the community enhance the extensive system of trails in and around the Grand Valley. The organization is focused on trails. The organization isn’t biased toward one type of trail or another. The GVTA also understands that not all trails are appropriate for all users. When planning, managing and maintaining trail systems, compromises between trail users have to take place to ensure the best trail experience. It is one of the goals of the GVTA to help ensure that the members of the Alliance feel that in the long run trails are managed fairly and evenly.

The Grand Valley Trails Alliance has been tasked with improving the trail proposal process with the BLM. We are developing a pipeline to help manage trail planning that will help enhance trail proposals from trail user groups, recruit more support, help enhance funding and streamline proposals in the context of a trail system approach.

The Grand Valley Trails Alliance is building partnerships with a diverse range of trail user groups, land managers, municipalities, businesses and individuals in our community. Please consider joining us.
