Fat Bikes for Trail Projects

Fat Bikes for winter funThe Grand Valley Trails Alliance had two Salsa Puglsey fat bikes donated by Bicycle Outfitters in Grand Junction for use on trail projects. These bikes have proven themselves to be incredibly capable trail building and maintenance tools. They have been used on trail projects to transport heavy tools and resources, scout lines, minimize impacts, smooth out muddy ruts, and pack snowy trails. The fat bikes, Medium Marge and Fat Stanley, have been used on non-motorized and motorized trail projects across the Grand Valley.

The bikes are available to the community with a priority for trail projects (motorized and non-motorized), but if they are not scheduled to be used, can be ridden by the community. If you would like to reserve a fat bike, please fill out the following form.
