The members of the Grand Valley Trails Roundtable are constantly engaged in trail projects of many types. These include planning, management, monitoring and maintenance efforts.
Current Trail Projects
Tabeguache Trail Connector to Highway 141
Thus far, this project, the Roundtable’s first, has been focused on evaluating and responding to a proposal to connect the Tabeguache Trail from the Bangs Canyon Staging Area to Highway 141. Learn more about the 141 Connector.
Gunnison Bluffs/Old Spanish Trail
This exciting project is aimed at taking action to implement Mesa County’s Master Plan for this region by providing enhanced protection and trail-based access to the historic resources here. To provide leadership and direction, a Roundtable sub-group has been formed with participation from COPMOBA, Back Country Horseman, Quiet User Group, Old Spanish Trail Historical Society, National Park Service, BLM, Mesa County Planning and Land Fill.
