The Grand Junction Free Press provided some coverage of the closure of S 21.5 Road in a January 4th article that explores the issue in some depth and highlights the tactics that were used in getting the County Commissioners to close the road that has been public since 1886. You can read the full article here. Although the road closure has been hotly contested and has received overwhelming public outcry, few options remain.
