GRAND JUNCTION, Co., February 6, 2014— Edgewater Brewery will host two weeks of the Bottled Beer Give Back benefiting the Tamarisk Coalition and Grand Valley Trails Alliance. For every $2 bottle of Kannah Creek Brewing Company’s Lands End Amber or Standing Wave Pale Ale purchased at the taproom, $1 will be donated to the designated local organization.
The Give Back begins February 17 through 20 with proceeds benefiting the Tamarisk Coalition. Their mission is to advance the restoration of riparian lands through collaboration, education, and technical assistance. “Proceeds of the fundraiser will support the Tamarisk Coalition’s continued riverside efforts across the Grand Valley and Western U.S. to help keep our rivers beautiful, prosperous, and healthy,” claims Tamarisk Coalition Outreach Coordinator, Cara Kukuraitis.
February 24 through 27 the Give Back will benefit Grand Valley Trails Alliance. The trails alliance works with user groups, communities, and land managers to develop resources and collaborative frameworks which enhance and sustain the Grand Valley’s outstanding trails system. “The GVTA’s work on trails with the trails community is enhanced by this great community support effort,” states Dave Grossman, Coordinator. “Plus everyone that does trail work knows that a great day on the trail is enhanced by a cold beverage afterward.”
In January, Edgewater Brewery held three weeks of the Bottled Beer Give Back fundraiser and raised $164 for March of Dimes, $189 for Roice-Hurst Humane Society, and $581 for the Colorado Riverfront Commission.
Edgewater Brewery is located at 9th and Riverside Parkway. It is open Sunday-Thursday from 11am to 8pm, and Fridays and Saturdays 11am to 9pm. The Bottled Beer Give Back is available during all regular business hours.
